A must see for the Melville fan. A little out of the way from major cities, but that only adds to its charm. You will be in the beautiful Berkshires. Tour times are shortened in the fall and winter, so make sure you look at hours/dates of operation/tour times, etc before you visit.
Small but thoroughly educational. Loved my visit, the staff were incredibly knowledgeable. What a beautiful property. Very well maintained.
For the fan, this is a great personal history lesson about Melville. Always excited to walk in the same setting of a literary hero. Learned of the things that inspired him.
