They set me up with a referral who was leaving, and could not care less about me. Glad they care about suicidal individuals. I'll never go back.
The wait to get an appointment is terrible, staff are incredibly rude and beyond condescending.
Honestly this place has a worse reputation then it should. Most of the staff are very cool as long as your respectful. I go to the DAE program on Thursdays. The instructor is awesome.
Terrible place. The therapists are okay. The psychiatrists have made multiple mistakes with my medications and then acted like it was my fault. If you slip in your recovery they will yell at you and treat you like a piece of garbage. I plan on finding another place to take care of my psychiatric needs asap. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother getting set up here
First therapist showed up an hour late, told me CBT would help me, which he specialized in. But then he refered me to someone else. She was not late and very helpful but did not specialize in CBT and was made to refer me to the guy who I guess connects patients with therapists? Basically this guy was never available when I called him and after a few weeks, my family finally got me in. Who did this guy place me with? Not someone who specializes in CBT. It’s like, what the hell were the last two therapists writing as I spoke and for what? I basically had to start from scratch with each of these people which really damaged my mental state further. And the therapist they connected me to? She clearly didn’t want to do her job with me, wasting my already brief session by doing things like disappearing to photocopy stuff among other things like talking about herself. I told her I wanted CBT so she just told me to join the group therapy session which met at a time and place I could not attend. So I just stopped making appointments. They were not helping me. It was a huge waste of time and left me feeling completely skeptical of therapy and mental health services. I’m not sure what alternatives are available for those with little to no income, but I can confidently say that this place is likely to leave you feeling crazier than before. :-(
