Okay prices staff seems odd good for crickets for your reptiles. Staff is mostly brain washed to say what the boss says not very interactive and very easy to jump the gun when it comes to facts about reptiles like leopard geckos wanting sand because they are "desert" animal with there not. And sometimes gives you wrong instructions on how to take care of your animals.
WORST GROOMING EXPERIENCE EVER. This groomer, should NOT be called a groomer. She did not know what a poodle was supposed to look like. I brought in my toy poodle for baths and to have her nails cut 2 or 3 times. The person in charge had a standard poodle and was very knowledgeable. THIS TIME, I didn't realize there was more than one person grooming. Sparkle went in with her face feet and base of tail shaved (but growing in, which is why I wanted her groomed). We discussed exactly what blade she would use on her face feet tail and I said they could take her back down with a different blade and her legs would need scissored by hand. She acted like she understood. She HAD NO CLUE. This person CLAIMING TO BE A GROOMER SHAVED ALL HER BODY HAIR COMPLETELY. SHE DID NOT SHAVED HER FACE, FEET OR TAIL. The ONLY things shaved when I brought her in. She even cut off ALL HER EAR FRINGE. She made her look like a shelter dog who needed to be cut down because she was neglected. SHE HAD NO KNOTS. NOT ANY. My mother was a dog groomer for 30 years! I told her this. DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR DOG TO PETCO IN PITTSFIELD UNLESS IT IS THE PERSON WHO OWNS THE STANDARD POODLE DOING THE GROOMING. I cried, I was so upset. And, I'm not sure she bathed her. The manager apologized and I didn't have to pay, but it was no consolation. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. THIS person should be FIRED for claiming to call herself a groomer.
They have the most helpful staff and are very nice. They also have a very big selection of animals and fish. Not to pricey to.
All your pets needs and many different sales
Although the source of animals at chain pet stores can be questionable, the service here was great. They helped me pick things that were the best value, telling me when a name brand wasn't worth the extra money etc. Staff seemed knowledgeable as well. Happy to return to find toys and other things for my pets.
