I recently went here with my friend so she could JUST get an oil change on her car. We were told where to park it and were greeted very nicely by a man telling us where to park, after we parked it where it needed to be parked he told us to wait in the waiting room and help ourselves to free coffee and water, nice touch. After a few minutes of waiting we were called into the garage area to fill out some information about the car and it's service on the computer. Keep in mind we just went for a basic oil change which should not be over $50. He then asked us which type of oil we wanted in the car and we said basic regular oil, he then refused to put that type of oil in the car and insisted that we put high mileage oil in the car, which was rude but somehow seemed somewhat convincing. After that he then told us that it was absolutely mandatory that we put in an oil filter with an oil change, I told him I don't want the filter but again even though I said no he somehow convinced us into buying the unnecessary oil filter. He then went over different things on the computer saying that we had to buy this and had to buy that even though I continued to say no multiple times. Not to mention he showed us a "dirty" filter that was fairly new. After saying no several times the total popped up and come to find out it was $82.82!!! Me and my friend were utterly shocked by what the total was. We accepted the cost and continued to wait in the waiting room for a couple of minutes, they then called us up to pay and yet again he tried to convince us yet again, this time to donate to a summer school fund, no matter how many times I said no he still tried to convince me but I stuck with my word. My friend then called her mom and told her about the situation, she was shocked by the cost and the poor service we received, she then called Jiffy Lube and she had to demand a 50% refund for what terrible service we received. Going back in and asking for the refund, the manager Shannon tried to make it seem like the workers convincing and failure to listen to a customer was our fault and said "Trust me we don't try to make our money off an oil change." And then proceeded to give us $20 dollars back, but by that point we were tired of them and just gave up. There ya have it folks, we were really jiffed at Jiffy Lube, come to find out that my friends moms coworkers were also jiffed. I highly suggest you never and I mean never take your car here!
Had to get recently registered car inspected, inspector was very nice and told me exactly what needed fixing to pass, nothing more. Told me the cheapest way to get things done, and I feel like the mechanics would do the same. Definitely would return.
Best service I have ever received! Highly recommend to stop for all your automotive maintenance needs.
Fast. Available. They will always have a few extras that they want sell you. But you can shrug those off you want. Fast and available
At the end of December, 2016 I replied to a craigslist post for a job opportunity at the Jiffy Lube in Pittsfield, Mass. The next day I received a call from a man named Dan who explained to me that I had been offered the job at Jiffy Lube and that I needed to drive to Springfield Mass on January 3, 2017 for my orientation. I had explained to Dan that I have been out of work for a month and had no gas to get to Springfield (an hour drive from my house). Dan had assured me that i would receive a $20 gas gift card upon completion of the orientation on January 3, 2017. I had attended orientation and was hired for store #948 in Pittsfield Massachusetts but i NEVER received my $20 gas gift card that was promised causing me to run out of gas in the middle of the highway.
Save yourself the hassle.......DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE AT ANY JIFFY LUBE....
The next day, January 4th was my first day with Jiffy Lube and it consisted of more computer training that was supposed to be completed during my orientation. This computer training was required for me to start my position and was not completed because the man who conducted my orientation had absolutely no idea what he was doing and for reasons unknown he had cut the orientation short by 3 hours.
DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR TO JIFFY LUBE!!!!
After completing my computer training I started training as an Upper Bay Technician along side another employee. Everything went good up until we could not get a customers vehicle started. We had asked the customer to start his vehicle which he did and we drove it into bay 2. My manager explained to the customer that the vehicle could use a fuel treatment and some sort of engine flush and the customer agreed to the service. The store manager tried to get the car started after it was already in the bay and it would not start. After about 10 minutes of cranking the vehicle over the battery died. We hooked up a brand new battery that came off the new battery rack and proceeded to crank the vehicle some more until I started to smell what seemed like an electrical fire. I immediately told my boss to stop cranking the vehicle over because of the smell. He quickly glanced at the engine and saw no fire so he continued to crank it over eventually getting it started. During the service I continued to look for the cause of the smell and eventually found that the wires going to the starter were melted together. I showed my boss and he told me to keep quiet. We finished the service and the customer left.
January 5 was my second and last day working at Pittsfield store #948. The first vehicle of the day came in for a basic oil change service. During the service we check the tire pressure and fill the vehicles tires if any are below the factory recommended pressure. I attempted to fill the front drivers side tire because it measured low and it would not gain pressure. I removed the air nozzle off of the tire stem and the whole valve shot out of the stem causing the tire to lose pressure very quickly. I shouted for my manager Shannon to come have a look and all she did was put a cap over the stem and told me to continue. The same thing happened to the front passenger wheel and this time she advised me not to touch the rear wheels. After the oil change was complete, she called the customer into the bay and explained that both of his front tire valves were broken and we could not fix them and that he should drive his vehicle to his dealership to have them fixed ASAP. She told him it was not the company's fault that they broke and that we would not compensate for the damages that had occurred during the service. Later on that day i was refused a lunch as well as a 15 minute break so i ended up leaving so i could look for a new job. I REFUSE to work for a company that lies, steals and deliberately misinformed their customers nor will i work for a company that does not give their employees a lunch break or even a 15 minute break.
